Frequently Asked Questions

If a question you have doesn’t appear below, please don’t hesitate to call us or complete our contact form, and we will be glad to assist you.

Do I need to make an appointment?

We prefer that you make an appointment on Monday – Friday; however we do accept walk-ins as our schedule permits. On Saturdays, no appointment is necessary and walk-in clients are welcome.
Please contact our office at 336-835-1082.

If possible, please also print and complete the New Patient Form and bring to your first appointment.

What do I do if I have a veterinary emergency?

We are open for emergencies Monday through Saturday during regular hours. For after-hours veterinary emergencies, we recommend Carolina Veterinary Specialists, Animal Emergency & Trauma Center in Winston-Salem.

How can I make the visit less stressful for my pet?

Please come prepared with a leash or carrier for the safety of your pet and other pets in the clinic. Although your pet may be fine off-leash, other patients in the clinic may feel stress, which may make your pet nervous. We also recommend that you practice positive reinforcement. Bring a few of your pet’s favorite treats to the visit. By rewarding your pet, you may help him/her learn to look forward to the visits. If you pet is particularly nervous or has a history of aggression, contact our front desk for suggestions so that we can help accommodate you and your pet.

For Birds or Small Mammals, please call our office so that we can make special arrangements for you and your pet(s) to enter through a separate entrance. We also have blocks of time in our schedule set aside for birds and small mammals to create the most pleasing environment for your pet(s).

How do I pay for my veterinary visit?

Payment in full is expected at the time of the service. We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards.
